The theme to this course is "What goes down must come up". The course starts at the fire station located up the street from Potter. From there runners will proceed north on Cross Rd. where it will be relatively flat for the first quarter mile. After that there is long decline until the half way point. From Cross Rd. runners will take a right onto Village Dr. and start the slow gradual climb back. Once on Village Dr. runners will snake there way through Spring Ln. before taking a right onto Green Dr. which will lead them back to Village Dr. and onto Hixville Rd. Runners will have a bit of a rest as it flattens out for about a quarter of a mile before meeting up with Cross Rd. where they will turn left and proceed back to the school. Once at the school runners will take a right onto Poole St. and then bear another right into the school parking lot where they will sprint to the finish line.
Water stations will be available at the intersection of Cross Rd. and Hixville Rd.
Course record is held by Jeff Reed of New Bedford with a time of 17:19 set in 2016.
